STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

Visit by President Roh Moo-hyun of the Republic of Korea

President Bush will meet with President Roh Moo-hyun of the Republic of Korea on May 14. The President looks forward to welcoming President Roh to the White House to reaffirm the enduring strengths of our 50-year alliance with the Republic of Korea and to discuss how our two nations can cooperate as full partners to bring about a peaceful resolution of the North Korean nuclear issue, the reinforcement and development of the U.S.-ROK alliance, and the promotion of bilateral economic ties.
