Advertisement for Construction Contract

The Embassy has a requirement to repair the waterproof system at the various areas on the roof at the Chancery of the US Embassy. This project is estimated to cost between $25,000 and $100,000 and the estimated working days is 21 calendar days.

The described work includes the repairing of the current waterproof system on the roof of driver’s waiting room, telephone operator room, Intake office, FM electrical switch gear room, north side stair case, generator room and elevator machine room at the US Embassy.  

 All firms who respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work. All responsible sources may submit a response that, if timely received, will be considered by the Contracting Officer. At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:

 Be able to understand written and spoken English;

• Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing;
• Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work;
• Have all licenses and permits required by local law;
• Meet all local insurance requirements;
• Have the ability to obtain a performance and guarantee bond and a payment bond, or to post adequate performance security, such as irrevocable letters of credit or guarantees issued by a reputable financial institution;
• Have no adverse criminal record;
• Have good experience and past performance records; and
• Have no political or business affiliation, which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States.

Firms interested in competing for this work must request in writing a copy of the solicitation documents from the American Embassy/Seoul, #10, Namyoung-dong, Yongsan-ku, Seoul, Korea  Attn: Cho, Yeong Yeon, GSO-PUR (Tel. 397-4679, Fax 796-0516) not later than  February 22, 2012.
