American Citizen Services Offered in Busan on September 29 and 30

On September 29-30, 2005, the U.S. Embassy will offer passport and other services for
American citizens in Busan. These services will be provided from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Paradise Hotel, Atlantis Board Room (Floor B1), 1408-5 Joong-Dong, Haeundae-gu, Tel.: (82) (051) 742-2121, website:

The following services will be provided: performing notarials; accepting applications for firsttime passports, passport renewals, amendments to passports, reports of birth abroad, new and replacement social security cards; providing information on living in Korea such as absentee voting, filing income taxes and filing for social security benefits. Persons requesting services should bring their U.S. passports.

Please visit our website, www.asktheconsul.org, for details about our services and the fees
charged for these services. Fees must be paid in cash, either in U.S. dollars or Korean won. To help us serve you faster, we encourage you to complete your passport application or other forms before coming to the hotel. All necessary forms are available on our website.
