APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) Holders

Visitor (B) visa applicants who hold APEC Business Travel Cards (ABTC) and their accompanying family members may schedule an interview by sending an e-mail to seoulrp@state.gov or fax to (02) 725-6843.

Please include the following information in your e-mail/fax:

  • Copy of your ABTC card
  • Full name (as it appears in your passport)
  • Date of birth
  • Company name
  • Job title
  • Number of accompanying family members (if any), their full names and date of birth
  • Contact information
  • List of dates when you are available to come to the U.S. Embassy for your interview

We will contact you within three business days with an appointment date and time.

Required Documents:

  • A signed passport valid for at least six months after your date of entry into the U.S.
  • A completed and signed Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF DS-156) with photo (See "photo requirements") for each applicant.
  • A completed Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-157) for each applicant.
  • A receipt from Shinhan Bank for the visa processing fee. The fee may be paid at any of the bank's branches in Korea. There is a branch only a short walk from the Embassy; here is a map. A receipt showing payment of the visa application fee for each applicant, including each child listed in a parent's passport who is also applying for a U.S. visa, is needed.
  • Original APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC).
  • Proof of employment (i.e., contract, certificate of employment).
  • Family Census Register (Certificate of Family Relationship/Basic Certificate/Certificate of Marital Status/Adoption Certificate), if applying with family members.
  • Your old passport containing your previously issued U.S. visa, if applying for a renewal.
  • A courier receipt from an Embassy-approved courier company within Korea. Courier forms are available at the courier service offices or by contacting either DHL Ilyang (1588-0002; www.ilyanglogis.com) or Hanjin (1588-0011; www.hanjin.co.kr) courier company directly.
  • E-mail confirmation from the U.S. Embassy.
  • All Korean-language documents do not need to be translated into English.
