Appointment System for American Citizen Services

Important! You must make an appointment online for all routine U.S. citizen services such as passport application services, request for Consular Report of Birth Abroad, notarial services and questions regarding federal benefits.  Exceptions to the routine consular services appointment requirement will be made on a case-by-case basis for emergency situations only.

You will only be allowed to enter the U.S. Embassy 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.  Upon arrival in the ACS waiting room, applicants will need to take a number ticket and wait for their number to be called.  

Please note that electronic devices such as cameras, cell phones, laptops, and MP3 players may not be brought into the Embassy.

Your appointment password is not retrievable.  Remember to write/copy your password from the “Appointment Details" screen in case you need to change or cancel your appointment.  Please be aware that we are unable to retrieve your password for you. (Note: You do not need to bring your appointment confirmation page to enter the U.S. Embassy as long as you have scheduled an appointment online.)

ACS Hours of Operation (appointment only):

8:45-11:15 am, Monday to Friday
1:00-3:00 pm, Monday to Friday except Wednesday
Enter through the Embassy’s side entrance. 

Please be aware that we DO NOT have a parking lot available for the public. Public parking facilities in the neighborhood surrounding the U.S. Embassy are generally not available. We strongly recommend traveling to and from the U.S. Embassy by public transportation.

 American Citizen Services is closed to the public on Wednesday afternoons and both U.S. and Korean holidays
