Make an Appointment & Off-site Services
Appointment System for American Citizen Services
You must make an appointment online for all routine U.S. citizen services such as passport application services, request for Consular Report of Birth Abroad, notarial services and questions regarding federal benefits.
Exceptions to the routine consular services appointment requirement will be made on a case-by-case basis for emergency situations only.
After you have scheduled an appointment, please remember to write down your automatically generated password in order to edit or cancel your appointment in the future. (Note: You do not need to bring your appointment confirmation page to enter the U.S. Embassy as long as you have scheduled an appointment online.)
If you would like to cancel or reschedule your existing appointment but forgot your password, please send an email to email@example.com with the name of the appointment holder, the date and time of your appointment, and type of service requested. We will cancel your appointment so that you can reschedule.
Note: You will only be allowed to enter the U.S. Embassy 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
USFK Personnel and family, please click here for information about consular outreach services on military bases throughout Korea.
ACS Hours of Operation (appointment only):
8:45-11:15 am, Monday to Friday
1:00-3:00 pm, Monday to Friday except Wednesday
Enter through the Embassy’s side entrance.
Please be aware that we DO NOT have a parking lot available for the public. Public parking facilities in the neighborhood surrounding the U.S. Embassy are generally not available. We strongly recommend traveling to and from the U.S. Embassy by public transportation.
American Citizen Services is closed to the public on Wednesday afternoons and both U.S. and Korean holidays
- Starting April 14, 2014 (Monday), customers with appointments for the American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit must enter through the ‘side entrance’ of the US Embassy. ACS (American Citizen Services) customers do not have to stand in the line with the visa applicants. Please look for the line marked for ACS no earlier than fifteen minutes prior to your appointment. The front entrance (across Sejong Cultural Center) is reserved for Special Consular Services only- which include deaths, arrests, medical, health, and legal issues.
