- FOR APPLICANTS WHO RECEIVED PACKET 3 LETTER OR NOTICE OF ARRIVAL FROM SEOUL

- FOR APPLICANTS WHOSE CASE IS CURRENTLY PENDING IN NATIONAL VISA CENTER

1. For applicants who received packet 3 letter or notice of arrival from Seoul

Immigrant Visa (IV) Appointment Request Only by Internet.  (http://www.asktheconsul.org/iv_appt.html)

Effective immediately, all requests for IV appointments (immediate relative (IR/CR/IW), fiance (K1), Life Act (K3), returning resident (SB), family (F) and employment (E)) must be made by internet at http://www.asktheconsul.org/iv_appt.html.  We will post appointment dates for all IR/CR/IW, K1, K3, and SB case by case number within two weeks here.(http://www.asktheconsul.org/wwwh2261np.html) We will not entertain follow-ups on your appointment request until at least two weeks have passed. 

After you request an appointment, if an applicant's priority date is current, we request visa numbers from Washington for F and E cases. Once all internal procedures are complete, we will notify F and E applicants of their appointment within ten weeks by mail or e-mail.  F and E applicants may also check the status of their appointment by case number here. We cannot accept appointment requests by telephone, even in emergencies.  Applicants without internet access may fax or mail a photocopy of the passport identify page for each applicant together with a completed OF-169 (downloadable).  Be sure to send us a clear photocopy of the applicant's name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue date and passport expiry date. 

2. For applicants whose case is currently pending in National Visa Center

Please follow the instructions given to you by NVC.  After all required steps are completed with NVC, NVC will notify you of your interview date with a packet 4 letter.
