U.S. Department of Agriculture Scientific Delegation Press Conference

A U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) scientific delegation led by Dr. Chuck Lambert, Deputy Under Secretary for USDA’s Marketing & Regulatory Programs, will hold a Press Conference on Friday, April 22, 2005, at 4:00 p.m. in the Information Resource Center of the American Embassy’s Public Affairs Office, at #10, Namyoung-Dong, Yongsan-ku, Seoul.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture delegation members are:

• Dr. Chuck Lambert, Deputy Under Secretary for U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Marketing & Regulatory Programs
  
  
• Dr. Valerie Reagan, Assistant Deputy Administrator for Veterinary Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)
  
  
• Dr. Armia Tawadrous, Senior International Policy Advisor, Food and Safety Inspection Service
  
  
• Mr. Patrick Clerkin, Senior Technical Advisor, Foreign Agricultural Service
  
  
• Mr. Burt Pritchett , Biologist in the Division of Animal Feeds, Office of Surveillance and Compliance, FDA/CVM.

The Press Conference will begin at 4:00 p.m. All press must arrive by 3:30 p.m. in order to allow sufficient time for security clearance and equipment check on entering the press conference site.

Journalists must bring their press card and photo I.D. with them. Interpretation will be provided throughout the event.
