What is Café USA?
Café USA, the Mission’s Internet community, was launched in November 2004. The Cafe USA Web site is designed for the Embassy to listen to the voices of Koreans and have an open conversation with them. Café USA has various sections and message boards, including ‘Ambassador Stephens’ Blog (Shim Eun-kyong’s Life in Korea)’, ‘U.S. Embassy Updates’, ‘My Thoughts on the U.S.’, ‘Cafe USA Web chat bulletin boards’, ‘Visa/Consular Affairs message boards’, etc. Café USA boasts over 10,000 registered online members in Korea and abroad.
