Nonimmigrant Work Visas

Petition-based(H/L/O/P/Q/R)

Please note that petition-based non-immigrant visa applicants cannot apply for a visa prior to 90 days before the petition becomes valid.  And they are not permitted to enter the U.S. more than 10 days prior to the petition becoming valid.

How to Apply

All applicants for H, L, O, P, Q, R visas and their family members are required to schedule an interview through Visa Information Web Services at www.us-visaservices.com and bring all their application materials with them at the time of their interview.

You are required to be finger scanned at the time of your interview. Children 13 years old and younger are not required to be finger scanned and are not required to be present at the time of interview. Normally, it takes two hours for us to review an applicant's application and document after finger scanning.  After we complete reviewing your documents, we will call you for an interview.

An applicant must be physically present in Korea while his/her visa application is pending at the U.S. Embassy Seoul. Please do not send your application and supporting documents to us in advance.

Please be on time for your appointment. Your appointment time is when we expect you to check in at the Embassy to begin your NIV application processing. You will be finger scanned and interviewed after check-in. Late applicants will not be processed. Applicants are responsible for arriving on-time to their NIV appointment.
