It is a pleasure to be in Korea and I am honored to serve as Consul General. I know what a dynamic and vibrant country Korea is, and I am proud to have the opportunity to strengthen the bond between our two countries. Last year we issued over 400,000 nonimmigrant visas at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, making it possible for Koreans from all backgrounds and walks of life to travel to the United States. In 2005 some 95 out of every 100 Koreans who applied for a visa received one. With its rich history, diverse cultures, and spectacular landscapes, the United States has much to offer to visitors and we are working to make the process of getting a U.S. visa as simple as possible.
My staff and I are dedicated to facilitating the travel of Koreans to the United States. We work hard to ensure that the visa application process is user-friendly and welcoming. You can schedule your interview appointment and download application forms at https://www.us-visaservices.com/korea/securedefault.htm. Simply click on the Korean tab on the site to enter the Korean-language site. If you prefer, you can use our telephone service to schedule an interview for up to five family members by calling 003-08-131-420 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm). You can even have a telephone agent fill out an application with you and then send it to you by mail or email. No matter how you choose to apply, we will do our utmost to provide courteous and efficient service when you come to the Consular Section for your interview.
Whether you wish to study English as a second language, honeymoon in Hawaii, cruise the waters of Alaska, visit friends and relatives, or watch the sun rise over the Grand Canyon, please remember that visiting the U.S. is simpler than you think.
Thank you for visiting our web pages.
