American Citizen Services Offered in Daegu on July 19

On July 19 , 2004, the U.S. Embassy will offer some consular services for American citizens in Daegu. These services will be provided from 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. at the Hotel Inter-Burgo, 9 th Floor, Executive Lounge, 57-23 Man Chon Dong , Soo Sung Gu, Tel.: (82) (053) 602-7171, website: www.ibhotel.com.
The following services will be provided: performing notarials; accepting applications for first-time passports, renewal passports, amendments to passports, reports of birth abroad, registration with the Embassy and new and replacement social security cards; providing information on living in Korea, absentee voting, filing income taxes and filing for social security benefits. Persons requesting services should bring their U.S. passports.
Please visit our website, www.asktheconsul.org, for details about our services and the fees charged for these services. Fees must be paid in cash, either in U.S. dollars or Korean won. To ensure prompt service, we request that any necessary forms be filled out in advance. All forms are available on our website.
