U.S. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow to Give Congratulatory Remarks
On Friday, May 26, at 5:30 p.m., at the KAL Hotel in Seogwipo, Ambassador Alexander Vershbow will give congratulatory remarks where he will talk about "U.S. Studies and U.S.-ROK Relations" at the U.S. Embassy's 2006 Regional U.S. Studies Seminar.
The U.S. Embassy organized this two-day seminar to promote and improve U.S. Studies, particularly among regional universities. Most of the participants will be professors and students who teach and work in universities and organizations outside of Seoul. The panels will include a discussion on the future direction of U.S. Studies, with particular attention paid to the career development needs of U.S. Studies majors. This year, eight U.S. Studies students will participate. The seminar will provide a valuable networking opportunity for U.S. Studies scholars and students.
