U.S. Embassy Provides Flood Disaster Relief to the Republic of Korea
U.S. Ambassador Alexander R. Vershbow announced today that the United States Embassy in Seoul, following consultations with the Republic of Korea National Red Cross, will provide $50,000 to purchase 700 emergency relief kits and to assist with emergency shelter activities, due to the magnitude of damage caused by the recent flooding. The funds have been made available through the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.
