The U.S. Embassy Seoul homepage has been redesigned with the goal of better informing the public. With the help of new software, the homepage now features a consistent look and feel, providing more organized and up-to-date news and information on U.S. policy to visitors. The homepage URL has also been redesigned to be more user friendly:
http://seoul.usembassy.gov.
Three new websites will also be included in this redesign. The U.S. Embassy also offers the Virtual American Corner, Info-pedia USA, and Kids Website.
Virtual American Corner (http://www.americancorners.or.kr) is an online information gateway to specialized, authoritative, and current information about the U.S. Through the Virtual American Corner, members can participate in programs and events that introduce U.S.-related subjects to the Korean public. Overall, the Virtual American Corner serves as an information resource similar to what a U.S. public library offers.
Info-pedia USA (http://info-pedia.americancorners.or.kr) is a comprehensive encyclopedia that covers 14 U.S. subject areas, ranging from society and culture to government and economy. It will provide answers to many questions about the U.S. It also offers links to various sources that provide more detailed information.
Kids Website (http://kids.americancorners.or.kr) is an information gateway to America for kids. In addition to offering interesting and interactive materials for homework and English learning, it can also connect kids between Korea and U.S. through an online pen pal program.
