U.S. Embassy Co-Hosts 2007 American Studies Students Camp at Pyeongtaek University

February 20, 2007

From February 22 to February 24 at Pyeongtaek University, the U.S. Embassy and the American Studies Students Association (ASSA) will co-host the 2007 American Studies Student Camp, a three-day series of lectures and workshops.  This year’s program will celebrate “Crossing into African-American Society and Culture.”

The U.S. Embassy is co-sponsoring this conference to promote dialogue and mutual understanding between the U.S. and Korea.  The conference will include question-and-answer sessions following each lecture between the guest speakers and audience members.  In addition, there will be an informal discussion on U.S.-Korea relations.

This event is open to the media.  Reporters wishing to attend this event may contact Ms. Kim Dae-young of the U.S. Embassy’s Regional Program Office at 011-9638-7316.
