Mr. Aaron Tarver took office as the new Information Officer/Press Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Seoul as of June 23, 2008. 

Spokesperson Aaron Tarver began his career in the State Department in 1997.  In that time he has served in China (1998-2000), Botswana (2000-2002), Malaysia (2003-2005), and most recently, in Afghanistan (2005-2006). 

Prior to joining the State Department, Tarver earned J.D. from New York University(1994) and worked as a lawyer specializing in environmental litigation in New Orleans, Louisiana, his native state. 

Mr. Tarver’s wife of 4 years, MA, Lan, currently resides in Shanghai.
