U.S. Embassy Consular Visit to BUSAN

Officials from the U.S. Embassy's American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit will offer consular services in Busan.

Date:            April 6 and 7, 2006
Time:              9:00 am - noon and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Location:      Busan Marriott Hotel,

1405-16 Joong-Dong,
Haeundae-Gu,
Busan City
Tel. (051) 743-1234.

For more information, visit the Busan Marriott Hotel web site at:
http://marriott.com/property/propertypage.mi?marshaCode=PUSMC.

American citizens will be able to apply for U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and Social Security cards. Consular officers will also offer notarial services, and provide information regarding federal benefits and registration with the Embassy.

Please note that fees must be paid in cash (U.S. dollars or Korean won).

If you plan to visit the ACS Unit in Busan, we strongly urge you to consult the web site at http://www.asktheconsul.org/ for more information on our consular services and to ensure that you bring the proper forms (filled out in advance) and fees with you. In addition to bringing original supporting documents (i.e. birth certificate, Certificate of Naturalization, passport, etc), please bring photocopies of all documents you plan to submit.  This will spare you the hassle of trying to find a shop near the hotel to make photocopies and allow us to return the originals to you the same day.

      - By fax (02 397-4101): Send the completed form DS-4085 and a copy of your    passport’s personal data page (the page with your photo) to the Embassy. Write “Busan Extra pages” at the top of your fax.
