American Citizen Services Offered in Busan on May 27-28

On May 27-28, 2004, the U.S. Embassy will offer some consular and immigration services for American citizens in Busan. These services will be provided from 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. at the American Corner Busan, in the Busan Metropolitan Simin Library, San #51-1, Choeup-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan City; phone: (051) 802-5326, ext. 3; website: www.siminlib.go.kr.

The following services will be provided: performing notarials; accepting applications for first-time passports, renewal passports, amendments to passports, reports of birth abroad, registration with the Embassy and new and replacement social security cards; providing information on living in Korea, absentee voting, filing income taxes and filing for social security benefits. Persons requesting services should bring their U.S. passports.

For any U.S. citizen whose spouse or child is seeking to immigrate to the United States, a representative from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will be available to answer questions about immigration and citizenship matters and to provide immigration applications.
