Passport Renewal for Children Age 15 and Younger
All renewal applicants age 15 and younger must appear in person at the Embassy to renew their passports.
Please submit the following items:
Application Form: DS-11, Application for a U.S. Passport. The online version of this form includes instructions on the back side written for use in the U.S. which do not apply to your application in Seoul. When completing a passport application, please include the city in the "Place of Birth" section. For persons born in the U.S., list the city and state of birth. For persons born outside the U.S., include the city and country of birth.
Your previous U.S. passport.
One passport photograph. Sized 2" X 2" (or 5 cm X 5 cm) with a white/light background.
Application fee: $85.00 U.S. Dollars, Korean Won or
credit cards If your child's appearance has changed significantly from the photo in the previously issued passport, please bring a series of photographs, about two for each year of your child's life, which show the development of your child's appearance.
Special requirement for Children age 15 and younger:
The State Department requires the consent of both parents for the issuance of passports to U.S. citizens under the age of 16. There are several special requirements. Please carefully review the information on this web site before you apply for a passport for a child age 15 and younger.
