How to Fill Out Nonimmigrant Visa Application DS-160

Step 1: Prepare an appropriate digital photo

To complete your online visa application, you will need to upload a digital photo. Please read carefully the requirements to upload your photo and the photo specifications before you begin completing your application at Guidelines for Photographs for Online Visa Applications.

You must also bring a photo (within the past six months, 50mm x 50mm, with white background). 

Step 2: Complete the online DS-160 application form and print the confirmation page to bring to your interview.

Fill out all required information completely and correctly, making certain to select the appropriate visa type. 

Print the confirmation page and bring the DS-160 Confirmation Page to your interview.
